North Port Florida one of top 10 cities to move to

Movoto Real Estate has named North Port, Florida one of the top 10 small cities to move to. It was ranked number 7 out of 10. North Port is located in southern Sarasota County. It has easy access to US 41 and I-75. It is between the two larger cities of Sarasota and Ft. Myers.
North Port has been a growing community over the past several years. Commercial construction with new shops and businesses have opened up which include WalMart, Home Depot, Lowes, grocery stores, restaurants, medical facilities, library, several parks, and much more.
The attraction to North Port is newer construction homes built to current standards at affordable prices. Homes built 2002 and newer and in the X or X500 flood zone are less expensive for homeowner insurance. North Port is the second largest city in land size in Florida, but it still has the friendliness and convenience of a small town since it is not fully developed. You will find thousands of vacant lots to build a new home as well.
North Port has deed-restricted communities for all lifestyles such as golf, 55+, resort-style, single family, villas, condos, and mobile homes. The majority of North Port, however, is non-deed restricted. There really is something for everyone.
Another attraction to North Port is its close proximity to the Gulf of Mexico which has beautiful beaches in Englewood, Manasota Key and Venice – just 20 minutes down the road. It is also close to Charlotte Harbor for fishing and boating.
